Disaster Planning

On Wednesday, Sept. 26th at 1:30 PM at the Stanwood Fire Station (8117-267th St NW), the Stanwood Camano Island Disaster and Pan Flu Community Task Force will meet to discuss the following agenda items:

1. Overview of the local Incident Command System (ICS) used during emergencies and disasters.
2. Where you, your agency or group fit into Community ICS.
3. Overview of what an Emergency Operations Center is.
4. Templates of Continuity of Operations Plans and pandemic influenza best practices and models.
5. Roundtable discussions

The Task Force is specifically looking for representatives from local health care, ministerial organizations, senior organizations, schools, care facilities or organized groups such as Rotary and Kiwanis who could send representatives for their respective organizations.
