The Stanwood-Camano community is invited to Thanksgiving Dinner at the Gathering Place on Thursday, November 24 at 5:30. Dinner will be cooked by local churches and will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, next to Josephine. The meal will be a traditional turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy and vegetables. Pie too! RSVP not necessary. Just come and enjoy the day.
Leftovers Welcome!
If you've got some yummy extras from your Thanksgiving meal, how about bringing them for Fellowship Hour on Sunday? This will help the hosts a bit and we'll have an interesting array for Coffee Hour!
Lately sign-up for coffee hour hosts have been rather sparse. Some people like to bring food but cannot clean-up. Others would prefer clean-up to bringing food. When you sign-up to host Fellowship Hour, you may specify one or the other; you don't have to do both.

Handmade All-Occasion Cards Available

Look for their table in Wesley Hall; they will be selling before first service and will continue selling during Fellowship Hour after second service. Proceeds benefit Mission projects.
Helpers Needed to Count Offering
Enjoy working with figures? Sarah Everett, our Financial Secretary, would like to start training several people to help with the money count on Monday mornings. Two people are always required when counting money. There are times when only one person is available so a trained back-up who could step in as needed is essential. Please call the office at 629-9555 if interested.
Painters Needed
Carpets are being replaced in the two long halls on December 1 and 2.
We hope to get the halls painted before then on November 28, 29 and 30. If you would like to help with the painting, please call Cliff Moran at 387-8353. Any amount of time you wish to paint will be greatly appreciated.
Come for Breakfast!
Everyone is invited to a hearty breakfast here on Saturday, December 3 from 8-11AM. The breakfast is hosted by UM Men and is open to the public as well, in conjunction with the Stanwood Christmas Celebration that day with holiday events all over town, culminating in the Santa Parade at 5PM in historic Stanwood. Free-will donation for the breakfast. Proceeds will benefit El Porvenir. This is an organization started by Nicaraguans to provide clean water for people living in the countryside. Paul and Fay Richardson helped this organization when they participated in a Primetimers' trip to Nicaragua in October (see our November Messenger). They saw first-hand the need for clean water, vented cooking stoves, wash stations and latrines. Your donations will certainly facilitate their achieving this most basic need. Thank you!
